is_file

(PHP 3, PHP 4 )

is_file -- Tells whether the filename is a regular file

Description

bool is_file ( string filename)

Returns TRUE if the filename exists and is a regular file.

Note: The results of this function are cached. See clearstatcache() for more details.

Note: This function will not work on remote files as the file to be examined must be accessible via the servers filesystem.
